It’s just not enough for it to feel like fall. I want to taste it. Preferable while wrapped in a little blanket on my porch.

Pumpkin Sugar Cookies
Try these pumpkin-flavored sugar cookies if you want more of a lighter taste of pumpkin. The recipe uses just 1/2 cup of pumpkin, so it’s just enough to get some pumpkin flavor without it being a full-on pumpkin cookie.
Pumpkin Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting
These are a true pumpkin-lover’s cookie. The recipe calls for 2 cups of pumpkin puree, so you know you’re getting some full-on, delicious pumpkin flavor in every bite. Plus, there’s icing, so…
Soft Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
These are on my list to make for the kids. They love anything that has mini chocolate chips in them. As their mother I take full credit for that.
Pumpkin Cookies with Caramel Frosting
Try these pumpkin cookies with caramel icing if the cream cheese icing above isn’t your thing. Actually, now my gears are turning and I’m thinking a pumpkin cookie icing bar is in order, with lots of different delicious fall flavors to top your cookie with. Anyone?
Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Cookies
I love a good oatmeal cookie and this one does not disappoint. Simple and delicious, with just a few ingredients.
Pumpkin Streusel Pudding Cookies
Yum, pumpkin pudding cookies. ‘Nuff said.
Pumpkin Spice Latte Whoopie Pies
Fall Cookies with Apple
This is the time for fresh apples from the market. Or, if you’re lucky maybe you live near an apple orchard and can pick your own! We’re going to try to make it out apple picking this weekend and I will definitely be setting some aside for one of the recipes below.
Caramel Apple Cookies
All the deliciousness of a caramel apple baked into a delicious cookie. Enjoy!
Apple Pie Thumbprint Cookies
You could make apple pie. Or, you can whip up some of these cute little apple pie thumbprint cookies and call it a day!
Apple Snickerdoodle Cookies
You’ll love these snickerdoodles with fresh apples baked right in.
Caramel Apple Gingerbread Cookies
Caramel apples are a staple at fall fairs and festivals. I love this cookie version that uses real apples and little candy caramels.
Harvest Spice Breakfast Cookies
Now we’re talking. These cookies are so packed full of healthy and delicious ingredients, like fresh pears, applesauce, and flaxseeds, that you can eat them for breakfast, or for a snack on the go, and feel pretty good about it.
Caramelized Apple Oatmeal Cookies
Real chunks of fresh apples cooked with butter and cinnamon and then baked into an oatmeal cookie? Yes, I’ll take a dozen, or two!
Frosted Apple Cider Cookies
Fall is the only time of year that I tend to switch out tea for apple cider. Why not make a cookie out of this classic fall flavor?
Fall Ginger Cookies
This recipe calls for a special ingredient that I’m eager to try: maple sugar. Every use it before? At any rate, the maple plus ginger sounds delicious and perfect for fall.
Chewy Ginger Molasses Cookies
This is quite possibly the fall cookie recipe I’m most excited about making. Ginger molasses cookies are one of my all-time favorite cookies and this recipe requires 0 minutes of chill time. That’s right…you don’t have the chill the dough. Just add ingredients, combine, bake, and eat.
The Rest of the Fall Cookie Recipes
If spicy ginger and butter pecans are more your style, then this section is well worth the wait. The cookies below are a delicious mix of fall flavors that will have you so ready for fall you’ll be picking out sweaters (or your favorite flannel shirt), and planning a leaf hunt. Or, how about we just eat the cookie and call it a day, shall we?
Gingerdoodle Sandwich Cookies
Here’s a hybrid cookie for when you find yourself torn between making a snickerdoodle and a ginger cookie. It’s the one and only Gingerdoodle! And, since you’re already going a little crazy with the whole two-cookies-in-one thing, you may as well go all out and whip together some of that cinnamon buttercream frosting for your own gingerdoodle cookie sandwich.
Pear Thumbprint Cookies
I had to include a pear recipe in here because I absolutely love pears in the fall. And that’s about the only time. But for real, there’s nothing better than a delicious fall pear (except for maybe an August peach, but I digress). This recipe actually uses pear preserves, but still…there’s definitely pear in it, so go forth and make this cookie.
Butter Pecan Cookies
This is my husband’s favorite cookie, so I know I’ll be whipping up a few batches before the season is over. Just a few notes: you’ll need to brown some butter to make these, and they have to chill for a gut-wrenchingly long 2 hours! But, they’ll be worth it. Promise.
Maple Sugar Cookies
You probably have everything you need to make these cookies in your pantry right now. The dough does require about 30 minutes in the fridge, but it’s otherwise a pretty simple and straightforward recipe with some delicious cookies to show for it.
Chai Sugar Cookies
These deliciously spiced cookies come together quickly and are topped with an espresso glaze!
Salted Caramel Butterscotch Cookies
Salted caramels are a weakness of mine. And butterscotch. And cookies. Someone might have to hide these from me!
Autumn Oatmeal Cookies
Try these oatmeal cookies that are full of cranberries, pecans, and white chocolate chips. A little apple butter brings it all together into the perfect fall treat.
Brown Butter Bourbon Pecan & Chocolate Chip Cookies
As if the butter pecan cookie I linked to earlier wasn’t enough, Ashley from Baker by Nature had to go and turn things up a few notches and make a sinfully delicious cookie with bourbon AND chocolate pieces. Yum-O!
Spicy Chai Molasses Cookies
Chai and molasses are a match made in heaven. These are two flavors that I love on their own, and can’t wait to make these to see how they taste together.
Caramel Butter Pecan Cookies
That caramel drizzle is the stuff of dreams. Plus, if you look closely enough, you can see the little Skor pieces (toffee candy) that really make this cookie a hit.
